Set up by Richard Whittaker to make entertaining and informative films. Richard works in Bristol’s TV industry and has credits working across factual, Natural History and, Documentary. He has a passion for film making and has been making them for 17 years specialising in short films for the educational market.
Previously he has worked with UWE to create a series of Audit simulations for Accountancy students. It has subsequently been picked up by Oxford University and has been sold to 25 different universities worldwide.
Richard has also created short films for Shorts TV and Troma Entertainment. Springloaded: A Pinball Tale has been shown on Television across the United States and Europe!
Our vision
Our vision is to grow and make Whitcun Media a proud staple in Bristol’s TV industry. We’re excited to bring entertaining and informative films that make you stop and think. Over the next year we’ll be bringing you our first series: When Money Breaks.
Created with academics, these are a series of educational films based using real world examples of financial fraud, negligence and the repercussions to show real academic accountancy theories.
The first episode covers cryptocurrency exchanges, but future films will reflect current events. The hope is to give people a greater understanding of how theories and good business sense apply to the real world.
